Hello. I'm Patricia Riddick and I help families and individuals who need advice and counsel when faced with legal challenges.

I received my BA in Philosophy from Virginia Tech in 1992, and my JD in 1996 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. I worked as a pre-hearing attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals for one year before moving to North Carolina.

I became licensed to practice in NC in 1997 and have been working as an attorney in Iredell County, North Carolina since September 1997, opening my practice in Mooresville in February 1998. In 2004, I became a licensed Family Financial Mediator.

I am also licensed to practice in federal district court for the western district of North Carolina and before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, I serve as private assigned counsel for the NC Office of the Capital Defender and am a certified family financial mediator.

My primary practice areas are and have been family law and criminal defense; however, I also write wills and contracts, set up corporations and LLCs, and handle estate matters and civil litigation.

I’m an active member of the North Carolina State Bar and an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
